Welcome to Foxes Class.
Hello and welcome to Foxes! Our teacher is Mr Masterson and our teaching assistant is Mrs Chantry. Our classroom is a bright, well-resourced place and learning is always fun! We have plenty of outdoor space too, as the playground is attached to our classroom. We use this to extend our learning, particularly in the spring and summer terms.
We enjoy English and Maths every day. Most of our subjects are taught with specific knowledge goals and much of our art and design and technology also links to our history and geography to consolidate our learning. This year our topics are: ‘Groovy Greeks’, ‘European Explorers’, ‘Rotten Romans’, ‘Cracking Coasts’, Smashing Saxons’ and ‘Smart Settlements’.
Some of our subjects are taught by specialist staff including; - French, Art and Design Technology. We have two weekly PE lessons on Mondays and Thursdays so please make sure the children come to school dressed in their PE kit on these days.
Our homework consists of weekly spellings, mathematics tasks linked to learning and TTRockstars (by the end of Year 4 all learners are expected to know their times tables up to 12 x 12). We are also encouraged to read with an adult at least four times a week at home although decodable books are also available as well as free readers to make sure we meet the needs of all our learners.
Below you will find some planning documents so that you can see what we will be taught and our ‘Spelling Booklet’ for the current term so that you can support us at home.
