3rd Prize Mrs Rickard
Congratulations! There are only two draws left before the end
of the school year. The next one will
take place on Tuesday 9th June.
Good Luck!
Tudor Day – Years 3 & 4
The Tudor Day is taking place on Thursday 21st May (next
week!) sorry for the day/date confusion – if you are struggling with costumes,
an ‘urchin’ styled outfit is fine – the costume does not have to be in any way
elaborate (unless of course you want it to be!) it just helps add to the fun of
the day. All monies should be in by the
day please.
Planet Sport – Fund Raiser
The children had a lovely afternoon
doing their activities, and many looked marvellous in their sporting hero
outfits. Well done. The children will
receive their certificates of achievement in assembly next week, which will
give them half term to collect their sponsorship money together.
Comic Relief
We were able to send a further
£114.79 to Comic Relief from the sale of Red Nose photographs taken by Mrs
Rickard & Mr Park of Pixel8tor Photography.
Our thanks go to them for their generosity. Pixel8tor Photography will be taking our
annual school photos in September.
Bikeability Course Year 3 & 4
children
In July we will be running our first
Cycling Proficiency Course at the school.
This course is full however if it is successful and we have sufficient
interest for further courses, we will be looking to arrange them on a regular basis. If you think that you would be interested in
your child taking part in a future course please let the Office know.
Parent Mail
Please could I have all your reply
slips back as soon as possible even if it is a ‘No’ response so that I can
start to activate this very useful system.
Thank you to everyone who has replied so promptly. It has been most helpful.
Head Lice
A couple of cases of head lice have
been reported in the School. You can help to prevent
your child getting head lice by weekly checks: Prevention
– Detection – Treatment
1.
Comb the hair from root to tip at least twice a day,
particularly at bedtime.
2.
Check the hair once a week, using a special plastic
detection comb.
3.
If head lice are found treat by either wet combing or
lotion.
You
should check the whole family and treat only members of the family who are
found to have head lice. Please ask the
pharmacist at your local chemist for advice on which lotion to use.
Yours truly,
Caroline
